Some explore it by foot, bike or car, some explore it with their eyes, reproducing it in their paintings, some explore it with their nose, smelling all the different scents - fresh air, flowers, the grass and the blue sky or misty fogginess

Certainly one of the must do things in the Bay area - a ferry ride from San Francisco to Marin County. A great way to get out of the city.

Wood floating down the rive, drifting on the water and finally deposited at the beach
laid down in chaotic order - after a long journey - ready to be picked up by the next flood and move until it finds its final resting place, buried or decaying returned to the cycle of life

Big Sur Century Ride - Part 1

Today I did my first century bike ride. With a nice northly wind these 100 miles were a very pleasurely ride.
Unfortunately uploading pictures is not possible from the I-phone.
So stay tuned for some awesome pictures of lush green hills ocean blue water spiked with white caps and turqouse near shore water.

After five years my office window on the 4th floor is completely overgrown with ivy.
